The Martín Faixó family has rescued, through this singular wine, the millenary tradition of growing vines in el Cap de Creus area.
The wine cellar is part of Mas Perafita, a farm house built in 1300 and located in the centre of the Cap de Creus natural protected area, between the towns of Roses, Cadaqués and el Port de la Selva in la Costa Brava. The vines, surrounded by a privileged landscape, grow in a rough soil of slate stone, from where they contemplate the Mediterranean Sea and are swung by the strong Tramuntana wind of the area.
This wine, of intense Empordà character, has been made with the Garnatxa Negra, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties, and has aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
