The nougat (turron) making tradition is well rooted in Casa Colomina. As early as 1908, the current owners´ ancestors would prepare this sweet of Arabic origin made mainly with dry fruits and honey. Just before Christmas, they would travel from Xixona to the old quarter of Barcelona to sell their product.
The descendants of the Colomina saga still prepare this delicious turron in Xixona following the traditional recipe of mixing premium quality marcona almonds, rosemary honey, sugar and egg whites. A classic and exquisite Christmas treat.
