A light-coloured honey, with a thick and fine texture, a delicate and soft taste and the fragrant aroma of orange blossom, also reminiscent of roses. It has been harvested in privileged natural environment, in the Protected Natural Reserve of Sierra Nevada (Granada).
This virgin honey has been obtained following completely natural methods, and has exceptional tasting and nutritional qualities. Its family producer, located in the charming village of Ugibar, right in the heart of la Alpujarra Mountains, has been committed to honey harvesting for three generations now. His efforts were recently rewarded, when in 2003 this honey was distinguished by a committee of experts as the Best Honey of Andalusia.
This honey represents a true contrast to the Chestnut Tree variety. The first is light-coloured, fragrant and has a soft taste, whilst the Chestnut Tree Honey is dark, with a penetrating aroma and bitter-tasting. Both honeys are of an exceptional quality that will surprise you. A real pleasure for the palate.
