Sweet, crunchy and meaty… it is by no means an easy job to taste these treats and not leave the jar empty! This yummy assortment includes hazelnuts, pine nuts and Macadamia nuts, which are absolutely irresistible mixed with vanilla ice cream, although they also make a perfect accompaniment to coffee or any other Catalan liqueur such as Garnatxa or Moscatell. Produced by Casa Gispert, they are of the highest quality and tradition.
It was back in 1851 when Josep Gispert founded Casa Gispert in the old town in Barcelona. This was a wholesale warehouse of colonial products such us coffee, tea, cacao and species coming from America. Later on, Casa Gispert specialised in the roasting of coffee and dried fruits and in the making of specialities from dried fruits.
Nowadays, the shop keeps the vintage furniture and the old wood oven –unique in Europe- where still today, just like a century ago, they keep roasting a variety of dried fruits.
In 1999 Casa Gispert was awarded the Coq d´Or, which distinguishes their exceptional products and recognises them as one of the 10 best food artisans in Europe.
