Delicious fisherman stew originally prepared on board of Basque fishing boats. The name marmitako refers to the marmita or recipient where it used to be cooked. It is prepared with potato and bonito tuna cooked in a base made with tomato, pepper, onion, garlic, olive oil, fish stock, white wine, brandy, salt and saffron. The end result is this exquisite and natural dish, ready to be enjoyed accompanied by fine white wine.
