This olive pâté -also known in Catalonia as ´olivada´- is prepared with Arbequina olives, aromatic herbs and olive oil. It has an intense and slightly bitter taste. It is an excellent ingredient in canapés, vinaigrettes or pasta dishes (try mixing it with your favourite pasta and adding some chopped fresh tomates and a drizzle of olive oil for a very tasty and Mediterranean dish!). Once opened, it should be kept in the fridge with a layer of olive oil on top.
